Our Story

  1. 2019

    How we met

A rooftop in Roma Norte, two friends-of-friends, and one very long conversation about tacos al pastor.

  2. 2022

    Moving in

We traded two apartments for one, plus a small balcony garden that we are both somehow keeping alive.

  3. 2026

    The proposal

On the same rooftop, seven years later. The answer was yes before the question fully landed.

Travel & Logistics (CDMX)

Airports & flights

Fly into Mexico City International (MEX) — closest to Polanco/Roma/Condesa. Felipe Ángeles (AIFA) is a cheaper alternative but ~1 hour farther out. Book early for November.

Where to stay

We recommend Polanco (upscale, near the venue), Roma Norte, or Condesa (leafy, walkable, lots of cafés and bars). All are a short Uber from both events.

Altitude heads-up

Mexico City sits at roughly 7,350 ft (2,240 m). The altitude is real — hydrate, take it easy on day one, and go gently on the mezcal until you have adjusted.

Getting around

Uber and Didi both work great and are inexpensive — far easier than hailing a street taxi. The metro is cheap but crowded; rideshare is our recommendation for evenings.

Money

Currency is the Mexican peso (MXN). Cards are widely accepted in Polanco/Roma/Condesa, but carry some cash for markets, small cafés, and tips.

Documents & passport

You will need a valid passport. Most visitors do not need a visa for short tourism — but please check your visa requirements for your nationality well in advance.

Tap water

Skip the tap water — stick to bottled or filtered water, which every hotel and restaurant provides. A good caution to avoid an upset stomach.

Tipping

Tipping (propina) is customary: 10–15% in restaurants, a few pesos for bellhops and drivers. Cash tips are appreciated.

Hotel room blocks

We have held room blocks at two hotels in Polanco. Mention the wedding when booking — details are in your invitation packet.

Attire — What to Pack

Cocktail Evening

Cocktail attire. Think elevated but comfortable — a cocktail dress or a sport coat. November evenings in CDMX are cool, so bring a light layer.

  • Cocktail dress or sport coat
  • Light jacket or wrap
  • Comfortable evening shoes

Wedding Day

Formal attire. Floor-length or midi gowns, suits or tuxedos. The reception is partly outdoors on grass and stone — choose shoes accordingly.

  • Formal gown or suit/tux
  • Block-heel or flat dress shoes for grass
  • Pashmina or jacket for the evening

Registry

Your presence in Mexico City is the greatest gift. For those who have asked, we have registered a few things below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring a plus-one?

Plus-ones are by invitation only and are noted on your personalized RSVP page. If you are allowed a +1, you will be able to add their name there.

Are kids invited? Is this adults-only?

We love your little ones, but our celebration is adults-only. We hope this gives every parent a relaxing night off.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive by 3:45 PM for the 4:00 PM ceremony on the wedding day. The cocktail evening starts at 7:00 PM the night before.

Is there parking?

Both venues have valet parking, but we strongly recommend Uber or Didi — it is easy, cheap, and means no one has to drive home.

What is the deadline to RSVP?

Please respond by October 15, 2026 so we can finalize numbers with our caterer and venues.
